The Wonderful World of Third Grade

Our Week:

Iowa testing – Monday through Friday – Please make sure your child is well rested, well fed and packs a healthy snack.  Most of our morning school hours will be spent on Iowa testing. 

No spelling or Simple Solutions this week due to Iowa testing

Thirty minutes of IXL is due by Friday.

In Religion this week we will continue our Lenten journey.  Students will also discuss and debate the concepts of justice and mercy.

In Math this week students will work on elapsed time using timelines, clocks and calendars.

In Science we will begin our Earth Science unit with an introduction to rocks and minerals.

In Reading students will be introduced to tall tales.  We will be reading and exploring Pecos Bill and Paul Bunyan.  We will be focusing on story elements.
