Our Week:

Spelling Unit #25 – test on Friday – words are on www.spellingcity.com for extra practice.
Simple Solutions #81 - #84
Thirty minutes of IXL is due by Friday.
The last day of AR testing is Friday, students are required to take and pass two Accelerated Reader tests for March.
In Religion students will read about the Agony in the Garden and Jesus’ death on the cross. We will also begin to discuss Holy Week.
In math students will continue to work with graphs, division and multiplication. Timed-tests will be on Thursday.
In Science we will have a visitor from Wayne County teaching a soil class. Students will also learn about fossils. In April we will be painting the traditional 3rd grade Earth Day shirts. Each student will need a new, white t-shirt that fits, to paint for this project. Shirts are due by April 12th – please label tag with your child’s name. Thanks.
Our Social Studies economic unit is well underway. Students have received (thank you PNC bank) checkbooks, registers, and covers. Students have also been assigned jobs. This week students will earn an income, begin to budget and look at fixed and flexible spending. Students will be making deposits into the Bank of Bryant each week. Then students will have pay rent and utilities. Students will then have the opportunity to save or shop at Bryant Mart. This integrated math/social studies unit will continue throughout the remainder of the school year.
Spring Break --- Hooray! --- March 31st through April 8th--- Happy Easter---Enjoy!
